This week the horrifying ordeal suffered by an 89-year-old woman at a South London care home has been revealed. Harrowing video footage shows Edna Slann begging for food. She pleads: “I’m starving – they keep you starving in here. I just want a cup of tea. Have you got anything to eat?” It has been reported that a ten-week stay at Care Home Grantley Court left Edna bruised, malnourished and with an infection that doctors say will kill her in weeks.
